Content Queues

Collect links and articles into a queue, then drop them into newsletters as dynamic content — no copy-pasting each story by hand.

A content queue is a running list of items — articles, links, products — that you collect over time and then pull into newsletters. Instead of pasting every story into an email by hand, you build the queue once and let your template render the items.

It's ideal for curated digests: clip interesting links throughout the week, then send a newsletter that lays them out automatically.

Creating a queue

Open Content Import in the app and create a new connection of type Queue (or use the New Queue shortcut where content sources are listed). Give it a name like "Weekly reading" or "Product picks" — that name is what you'll see when adding items and when connecting it to an email.

Adding items

Open a queue and you'll see its ingest panel. There are two ways to add items yourself:

The bookmarklet

In the queue's panel there's a Save to [queue name] button. Drag it to your browser's bookmarks bar once. After that, whenever you're on a page worth saving, click the bookmark — EmailBuilder grabs the page's title and preview image and drops it into the queue. It's the fastest way to clip content while you browse.

Add manually

In the Manual tab, paste a URL and click Load — EmailBuilder fetches the title, image, and description so you can review them before saving. Every field is editable, so you can fix the title, swap the image, or adjust the description, then Add to queue. You can also fill the fields in by hand if you don't have a URL.

The image preview is clickable — it opens the full-size image in a new tab so you can confirm you're saving the right one.

Using a queue in a newsletter

A queue is a content source. In the editor, open the Data Sources panel and connect the queue to your email. Your template then renders the queue's items in a repeating layout — each item exposes its title, link, image, description, and date — so the same email design fills itself with whatever's currently in the queue.

This means you can design the newsletter once and reuse it every send: the layout stays put, the content comes from the queue.

Keeping a queue fresh

Queues hold a capped number of items (oldest drop off as new ones arrive), so a connected newsletter always reflects your most recent picks. Add throughout the week with the bookmarklet, then send when you're ready.
