Send your first email
Three ways to deliver an EmailBuilder template — test send, ESP integration, and Gmail add-on.
You have a template. Now what? Here are the three most common ways to actually send it.
Option 1: Send a test
Inside the editor, click Send Test in the top toolbar. Enter your email address and we'll deliver a real copy to your inbox. This is the fastest way to verify rendering across your own clients.
Option 2: Connect an ESP
If you use an email service provider (SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, Amazon SES, Mailchimp, ConvertKit), you can sync templates directly:
- Go to Account → Integrations.
- Choose your provider and paste in your API key.
- From any template, click Push to [Provider] to sync.
The template appears in your provider's dashboard and is ready to use in campaigns or transactional sends.
Option 3: Gmail add-on
If you send manually from Gmail, install the Gmail add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace. You can then browse and insert any of your EmailBuilder templates straight into a compose window.
Tips for high deliverability
- Authenticate your domain. Set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC with whichever provider sends your mail.
- Test before mass sends. Use Generate Preview to render your template on 13 device viewports (see Virtual previews) — that catches mobile and tablet layout breaks. Then use the editor's Send Test button to send a real copy to your own inbox and open it in Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail — that catches client-specific rendering quirks the browser-based preview can't see.
- Keep file sizes small. Optimize images and avoid embedding large fonts.
