Best practices for course emails

Lead with the learner's name and specific course title in the certificate display to make the achievement feel personally earned, not generic.
Place the certificate download button above the fold so learners can access their credential without scrolling past promotional content first.
Frame the next-course upsell as a natural progression using language like 'Ready for Level 2?' rather than a disconnected sales pitch.
Use a completion-specific congratulatory tone in the headline — words like 'achieved,' 'earned,' and 'official' reinforce credential credibility and perceived value.
Include the course completion date visibly in the certificate graphic so the digital credential functions as a shareable, LinkedIn-ready achievement document.
